The ambassador to Japan, Mark Sinclair, has been appointed New Zealand's next Climate Change Ambassador.
Mr Sinclair will replace Jo Tyndall, who has held the role since 2010.
Climate Change Minister Paula Bennett said Mr Sinclair is an experienced international negotiator.
