Man attacked by crocodile while camping in Australia

7:22 pm on 25 April 2016

Doctors say a 19-year-old man has survived a crocodile attack in the Douglas Daly region of Australia's Northern Territory.

The man was camping about 15 metres from a creek with his family when the crocodile entered his tent early this morning and pulled him out by his right foot.

The man told doctors he kicked the crocodile with his other foot to get away.

He believes the animal was a four-metre saltwater crocodile.

The man's parents drove him to Katherine Hospital.

He is being treated with antibiotics, which the health department says is standard for crocodile bites.
