Two properties in Auckland have been hit by lightning this afternoon, causing minor damage and power cuts.
A tree at a Titirangi property in West Auckland caught fire, while a home in Epsom suffered minor damage.
The Fire Service said two fire crews were sent to each property to check for hot spots.
Vector is also on its way to carry out safety checks and restore power.
