Prime Minister John Key has arrived in Fiji for a two-day visit.
He was met at the airport by Prime Minister of Fiji Frank Bainimarama.
Mr Key's official visit to Fiji is the first by a New Zealand prime minister since Mr Bainimarama overthrew the Fijian Government in a military coup in 2006.
Two years ago, Mr Bainimarama became Fiji's democratically elected prime minister but his government's treatment of opposition politicians and the media remains controversial.
