A house has been badly damaged by fire in the Christchurch suburb of Parklands.
The Fire Service was called to the property at 1.15am Sunday morning.
It said there were a number of people in the house who were affected by smoke inhalation, but no one was badly injured.
The Fire Service said the fire was not believed to be suspicious, and the house well alight when the fire crews arrived.
