A2 Corp considers options for future

1:42 pm on 18 April 2012

Specialty milk producer A2 Corporation will carry out a review of its business to make sure it's on the right track.

A2 has been building its presence in the fresh milk market in Australia and establishing partnerships in Britain and Ireland to market its products there.

The company is also moving into higher-value products and earlier this week signed a deal with processor Synlait Milk to produce nutritional powders and infant formulas, which A2 intends selling in China and other Asian countries.

Investors are impressed with the company's resurgence, and its share price has more than doubled so far this year.

A2 now wants to take stock, and has employed Greenhill Caliburn to review its business and expansion plans to decide the best course for the future.

Those options may include selling the business, selling a stake to a strategic investor, considering more alliances with other firms in various countries, or sticking with A2's current plans.

The review is expected to take about two months.
