Maersk Shipping is increasing its prices for shipments from the United States to Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific islands next month.
A rate rise of $US175 per twenty-foot container and $US350 per 40-foot container will be introduced on 15 August.
Maersk is the world's biggest container shipping company with a global market share of about 15.5% last year.
