New Zealand markets up on Tuesday

The NZX50 was up 21 points, or 0.6%, to close at 3584 on turnover of $62 million on Tuesday.

When the markets closed the NZ dollar was at 82.07 US, 77.57 Australian, 52.64 pence, 64.20 yen and 0.6620 euro, with the TWI at 73.65.

Fletcher Building was up 7 cents to $6.34, Telecom was down 2 cents at $2.73, Chorus was up 5 cents at $3.12 and Contact Energy was up 5 cents at $4.98.

Sky City Entertainment was up 5 cents at $3.64, Sky Network Television was unchanged at $5.05, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was unchanged at $1.90 and the Warehouse was unchanged at $2.67.

Livestock Improvement was up 5 cents to $5.05, Xero was at $5.31 and Pharmacy Brands was up 4 cents to $1.34.

Wakefield Health was down 5 cents to $5.70, NZX was unchanged at $1.15 and Cue Energy was down 3 cents to 19 cents.
