BNZ has named its first woman chief financial officer who will take over at the end of the year.
Adrienne Duarte will take up the role when Ken Christie departs for the National Australia Bank (NAB).
Ms Duarte's appointment means the gender balance of the bank's executive team is now split evenly.
She joins the bank after 12 years with NAB.
