The NZX50 index fell 6 points, or 0.2%, to close at 3670 on turnover of $74 million on Wednesday.
When the markets closed the NZ dollar was at 79.47 US, 77.94 Australian, 50.08 pence, 62.26 yen and 0.6336 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 71.63.
Telecom was up 3 cents at $2.455, Fletcher Building was down 4 cents at $6.48, Chorus was down 3 cents at $3.45 and Contact was unchanged at $4.95.
Sky City Entertainment was down 1 cent at $3.81, Sky Network TV was down 6 cents to $4.99, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was down 2 cents to $2.15 and The Warehouse was down 3 cents to $2.88.
Cavalier was up 4 cents at $1.82.
AMP was down 21 cents to $5.55, Ebos was down 14 cents to $8.23, Nuplex was down 4 cents to $2.95, Pumpkin Patch was down 3 cents to $1.18 and Tower was down 2 cents at $1.76.
