The number of new cars registered has fallen for a second consecutive month.
The Transport Agency says 5959 new vehicles were registered in August, a fall of 4% compared to the previous month. The number is still 3% higher than the same period a year ago.
Used car registrations fell 0.3% compared with the previous month, and were 1.4% below August 2011.
