The benchmark NZX50 index fell 3 points to close at 3809 on turnover of $87 million on Thursday.
At 5.43pm the NZ dollar was buying 82.67 US, 79.35 Australian, 51.06 pence, 64.27 yen and 0.6411 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 73.41.
Auckland Airport was up 0.5 cents to $2.63. Air NZ was down 1 cent to $1.10. Contact was up 8 cents to $5.26.
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was up 6 cents to $2.23. Mainfreight was down 17 cents to 10.20 and Port of Tauranga was down 20 cents to $12.45.
Pumpkin Patch was unchanged at $1.18 after announcing a loss in its full year results to the end of July.
Postie Plus was up 1 cent to 24 cents after also announcing its full year results to July.
Sky City was down 6 cents to $3.72. Sky TV was up 1 cent to $5.08. Telecom was up 2.5 cents to $2.42.
The Warehouse was down 10 cents to $2.92. Xero was down 1 cent to $5.00.
