NZX 50 falls fractionally

The NZX 50 index fell fractionally by 6 points (0.1%) on Monday to close at 3908 on turnover of $83 million.

Telecom dropped 2.5 cents to $2.395, and its operations spin-off Chorus was down 2 cents at $3.30.

Retailer Hallenstein Glasson fell 3 cents to $5 and Air New Zealand dropped 1 cent to $1.20, while infrastructure investor Infratil was down 2.5 cents at $2.175.

Sky City fell 4 cents to $3.79, and PGG Wrightson was down 1 cent at 34 cents.

Stocks unchanged at the close of trade included Kathmandu ($1.74), Nuplex ($2.89), NZX ($1.23), Port of Tauranga ($12.90), Pumpkin Patch ($1.22), and Tower ($1.95).

Michael Hill rose 3 cents to $1.20, and Michael Hill rose 3 cents to $1.20.

Sky TV rose 1 cents to $5.11, Fisher & Paykel Appliances rose 1 cent to $1.275 and Fletcher Building rose 1 cent to $7.

AMP rose 10 cents to $5.65, Contact Energy rose 5 cents to $5.35 and Auckland Airport rose 2 cents to $2.66.
