Govt appoints four new SOE directors

The Government has made four new director appointments across state-owned enterprises.

Former chair and chief executive of KPMG and current Air New Zealand director Jan Dawson will be on the board of Meridian Energy, which the Government plans partially sell.

Fisher & Paykel Finance chair and former Deloitte partner Carlos da Silva has been appointed to the MetService board, while barrister and solicitor Guy Royal has been appointed to KiwiRail.

Professor Jan Evans-Freeman, Pro-Vice-Chancellor at the University of Canterbury's College of Engineering, will sit on the Transpower board.

The Government made 13 reappointments.
