New Zealand market down on Monday

The NZX50 index fell 13 points to close at 3966 on turnover of $93 million on Monday.

In currency markets, at 5.20pm the New Zealand dollar was at 84.39 US cents, 80.08 Australian cents, 52.19 pence, 70.87 yen, 0.6413 euro and the Trade Weighted Index stood at 75.27.

Auckland Airport was down 2 cents to $2.65, Air New Zealand fell 1.5 cents to $1.31 and AMP dropped 10 cents to $5.80.

Contact Energy down 2 cents to $5.02, Chorus was up 1 cent to $2.71, Diligent Board Member Services was up 5 cents to $4.75.

Fletcher Building fell 7 cents to $8.19, Freightway was up 1 cent to $4.24 and Mainfreight rose 5 cents to $11.05.

Heartland New Zealand went up 2 cents to 69 cents, after being granted a banking licence.

Refining NZ dropped 9 cents to $2.33, Ryman Healthcare fell 5 cents to $4.34 and Telstra Corporation was down 6 cents at $5.28.
