Starbucks has lifted its quarterly profit, due to higher sales in the United States.
The US based coffee chain made earnings of $US432.2 million in the three months to December, an increase of 13% compared with the same period a year earlier.
Revenue jumped 11% to $US3.8 billion.
Starbucks has experienced some strong global sales and is rapidly opening more stores in the emerging markets, as well as moving into the tea industry.
