Delegat's half year profit rebounded as global wine sales increased despite higher exchange rates.

The company, which produces the Oyster Bay range, made $19.3 million in the six months to December - a rise of 31%, compared with the previous period.

When one-off costs are excluded, operating profit rose 10% to $19.2 million. Revenue rose 4% to $123.4 million.

Managing director Jim Delegat said case sales picked up 7%, with a 30% increase in America and Canada, offset by a drop in New Zealand, Australia and Asia-Pacific.
