The number of new cars registered in New Zealand fell by 22% in February, giving back all of January's gains.
New Zealand Transport Agency figures show 5799 new cars were registered last month. While it was lower than January, the number is 3% higher than the same month a year ago.
Overall, car registrations, whihc includes new and used, fell 6% on January, but are 15% up on a year ago.
