NZX systems down

12:11 pm on 23 April 2013

New Zealand stock exchange market information systems were down all morning on Tuesday, meaning company announcements and stock prices were not available to the wider market.

That included market information sources such as Reuters and Bloomberg.

The systems were restored around midday.

Stock brokers still had access to live market prices, so trading continued as usual.

NZX said if any price sensitive company announcements had been received, it would have halted trading in the relevant securities until the systems were working again.

However, because those systems were not working, the wider market would not have been aware of any such trading halts.
