Vodafone's New Zealand arm has experienced revenue declines and a fall in customer numbers.

The group's annual financial results posted on the London Stock Exchange show its revenue fell 4.2% to £44.4 billion in the year to March and operating earnings declined 3.1% to £13.3 billion.

Vodafone's had 2.3 million customers at the end of March and its results show it lost 7000 in the year.

It says growth in its Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific regions has been offset by service revenue declines in New Zealand and Australia.
