Jetstar to suspend Queenstown service

9:02 am on 13 June 2013

Jetstar is suspending flights between Wellington and Queenstown from September but will increase flights between Auckland and Christchurch.

Jetstar chief executive of Australia and New Zealand, David Hall, says the new schedule will provide more choice to the leisure and business markets on main trunk routes.

From September the airline will suspend its four weekly return services between Wellington and Queenstown after the winter ski season.

Jetstar says it will continue to review how it can grow services to both Wellington and Queenstown.

The airline will fly more often on weekdays at peak times between Auckland and Christchurch.
