The Government says overall online job vacancies have fallen nearly 1%, but jobs for skilled workers have increased for the second month in a row.
The latest Jobs Online report issued by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment shows advertisements for skilled workers rose a seasonally adjusted 2% last month, while overall vacancies declined 0.7%.
Vacancies for skilled workers increased in most industry groups, led by the information technology sector.
Wellington experienced the biggest increase in openings for skilled personnel.
