NZ Windfarms says its electricity generation output in the June quarter fell 11.2% to 23031 megawatt hours and revenue from electricity sales dropped 26% to $1.6 million.
The company operates a windfarm in the Tararuas. The average price it received per megawatt dropped 16.6% to $71.
Its turbines were also available only 95.5% of the time, down from 96.8% in the same quarter last year.
For the 12 months to the end of June, generation was down 7.7%, sales were down 22.6% and average prices per megawatt were down 16.2%.
The company says the result is below its own forecast.
