Summerset chief executive Norah Barlow won two of the seven awards at the inaugural Women in Governance Awards.

Three of six members of the Summerset executive team are women, including Ms Barlow, and they run 16 villages with more than 2200 residents and about 500 employees.

The awards were organised by Women on Boards, a new organisation, which was established by Dr Rosanne Hawarden and Lesley Whyte of Massey University.
