Tourism New Zealand has signed a memorandum of understanding with a Chinese airline to jointly promote tourism in this country in China.

The memorandum was signed with China Southern Airlines in Guangzhou and will run until mid-2016.

China Southern Airlines flies a daily direct service from Guangzhou to Auckland, which will extend to ten flights per week this summer.

China Southern will be the first airline to fly the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on a New Zealand route.
