Cancer detection system finds 90 percent of tumours

Pacific Edge says two user programmes have found that its cancer detection system, CXbladder, detected 90% of all tumours, outperforming cytology.

The two programmes, conducted in conjunction with the Canterbury and Waitemata district health boards, made up a combined study of 178 patients with blood in their urine.

Pacific Edge says the study shows that Cxbladder is a highly accurate detection test, and it expects the product will be more widely used in New Zealand healthcare.
