Queensland premier Campbell Newman begins a trade mission to Asia and the United Arab Emirates on Monday.
AAP reports Mr Newman and a group of Queensland industry leaders will tour China, Singapore, Japan and the UAE over the next 16 days.
The state government said the tour is about finding investment and business opportunities in sectors such as tourism, education, training, resources, construction and science.
