The Seek website has recorded huge increases in job advertisements for roles in design and architecture as well as construction.
Jobs in design and architecture roles advertised on the site were up 51% in 12 months to September while construction jobs were up 30%.
Government and defence roles were up 49% in the year.
Seek New Zealand general manager Janet Faulding says the majority of these jobs are located in Auckland and Christchurch.
