Bauer Media Group has been cleared by the Commerce Commission to buy a raft of magazine titles from APN News and Media.
The magazines include The New Zealand Listener, Woman's Weekly and Simply You.
The regulator says it is satisfied Bauer acquisition will not substantially lessen competition in the current affairs and women's magazines market, nor advertising.
Seperately, stock exchange operator NZX is selling its online news business NewsRoom to Sublime Group.
The sale will take effect from the end of this month and NZX says it will not have a material impact on its financial results.
Bauer is a 140-year-old company based in Hamburg.
