Former Kapiti Coast mayor Jenny Rowan has joined the board of the organisation for resolving consumer disputes with various organisations. FairWay Resolution was formerly known as Dispute Resolution Services.
Ms Rowan was also a commissioner in the Environment Court for 16 years.
FairWay chief executive Greg Pollock said Ms Rowan's 30 year's experience in local government and her skills and experience as a mediator will help the company grow its business.
FairWay currently handles more than 10,000 disputes a year, many of them reviews of claims against ACC.
The company also operates the Telecommunications Dispute Resolution scheme, the Financial Dispute Resolution scheme and handles disputes for the Real Estate Agents Authority.
