World milk prices have edged up while volumes have fallen in Fonterra's fortnightly auction.
The Global Diary Trade index rose 0.5 percent, with an average selling price of $US5042 per tonne.
In all, 35,399 tonnes were sold, a fall of 13.7 percent from the previous auction.
Butter prices had the biggest rise, up 2.6 percent, while cheddar fell more than 4 percent.
