Telecom has lured Saatchi and Saatchi's brand master Kevin Roberts to its board.

Telecom's chairman Wayne Boyd says the board will benefit from Mr Roberts' experience in building brands.

Port's good news

Port of Tauranga says its profit has risen as it moved 25% more cargo.

The port operator's profit rose 7% to $42 million in the year ending June.

Its chief executive, Mark Cairns, says its profit increase is a strong result despite the turmoil in global markets.

Hellaby's turnaround

Hellaby Holdings has seen a turnaround, making a profit of $4.7m in the year to June, compared to a $9.8m loss the year before.

Operating earnings rose a third to $47m after Hellaby focused on improving returns at its four divisions -automotive parts, industrial equipment, footwear and packaging.
