A round-up from Radio New Zealand's business reporters - Fonterra launches multi-million dollar offer; and Finance Minister Bill English pays Australia a visit.

Fonterra offer

Fonterra has officially launched a $250-million bond offer, after floating the idea last week.

The interest rate won't be announced until after the offer closes on Wednesday.

The bonds mature in October, 2021.

English to Australia

The Finance Minister Bill English is visiting Australia this week where he will be meeting with business and investors to get their thoughts on the strengths and weaknesses of the Australian economy.

Almost a fifth of New Zealand exports are to Australia and more than half of this country's overseas direct investment is in Australia.

Mr English will begin in Perth tomorrow, where he'll meet with leaders in the mining sector as well as government officials.
