New director for Tourism New Zealand

Tourism New Zealand says a top marketer is returning to New Zealand to take on a key role in its leadership team.

René de Monchy will take on the role of director for trade, PR and major events.

The Auckland University graduate is currently the marketing director at Asia Pacific Breweries and has previously been the marketing manager at DB Breweries and brand manager at Fonterra.

Pan Pacific Petroleum seeks offers

Pan Pacific Petroleum is seeking offers for its assets, including its interest in the Tui oil field.

The company made the offer in response to a 5 cent a share takeover bid by Australia's Zeta Energy, which Pan Pacific's board has urged shareholders to reject.

Pan Pacific values itself at between 7.5 cents to 12.5 cents per share.

Giesen Wines appoints new GM

Giesen Wines has appointed Rhyan Wardman as its new general manager in Marlborough.

Mr Wardman has worked in the wine industry for more than 20 years and is a member of the board of Wine Marlborough.

Giesen Wines has 13 vineyards and 274 hectares in Marlborough.
