Strong same-store-sales at KFC have helped boost Restaurant Brands first quarter result.
The company, which operates KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks and Carl's Junior, made $89 million in the three months to May the 25th, up almost 15 percent on the same time last year.
Sales at KFC jumped about 13 percent to $64.4 million, with same-store-sales up almost 10 percent.
Restaurant Brands said the KFC result was driven by its store transformation programme, marketing and longer opening hours.
The number of KFC outlets increased by one to 92.
Same store sales fell by 0.5 percent at Pizza Hut, with four fewer stores than last year, that compares to growth of 9.3 percent last year.
The firm's Carl's Junior brand also suffered losses with its same store sales, dropping 5.2 percent, with 10 new outlets being added to the portfolio.
Same store sales at Starbucks jumped 8.9 percent, as customer experience initiatives bed-in.
