Vodafone has declined to comment on a report it's considering buying T-Mobile UK.

The Financial Times says the mobile phone operator is interested in acquiring T-Mobile's operations in Britain, even though a deal may be blocked by regulators.

Any such move would make Vodafone the biggest mobile operator in Britain, with a market share of 40%.

Vodafone has 25% of the market, behind O2. T-Mobile, owned by Deutsche Telekom, has a 15% share.
