The New Zealand share market rose 9 points to close at 3081 on a heavy turnover of $242 million on Wednesday.
Telecom shares were up 1c to $2.70, Contact Energy fell 3c to $6.25, while
Fletcher Building was unchanged at $7.80.
Sky City Entertainment Group gained 10c to $3.40 following a rise in profits.
New Zealand Refinery was down 95c to $5.55 after reporting a fall in half-year profit on Tuesday.
