The New Zealand share market rose 13 points, or 0.42%, to close at 3080 on turnover of $37 million on Tuesday.
Shares in top stocks all gained. Telecom was up 1 cent to $2.73, Fletcher Building also rose 1c to $7.78, while Contact Energy gained 5c to $6.30.
Sky City Entertainment was 7c higher at $3.33.
Vector rose 2c to $2.07 after its full-year profit doubled to $370.5 million.
Michael Hill International was down 2c to 70c after its full-year profit before tax dropped almost half to $20.1 million.
Pike River Coal fell 11c to $1.03 after further delays to exports of its coal and the company reporting a $13 million full-year loss.
Taylor's Group was unchanged at $2 after receiving a takeover from its 66% owner Spotless.
Tower rose 3c to $1.71 after announcing it plans to raise $81.3 million on Monday.
