The New Zealand index rose 5 points, or 0.2%, to close at 3148 on Wednesday on turnover of $61 million.
Telecom was unchanged at $2.61 per share. Fletcher Building rose 8 cents at $8.49, while Contact Energy fell 8c to $5.73.
Restaurant Brands was down 1c to $1.22 after overall sales rose 5% in the second quarter.
Pumpkin Patch was unchanged at $2.02 after losing $26.7 million in the year to July.
Rakon fell 21c to $1.28 after completing its institutional capital raising of $45 million to help fund a new manufacturing plant in China.
Pyne Gould was down 1c to 99c after announcing plans to raise to raise nearly $270 million from investors.
