The New Zealand share market fell 10 points, or 0.3%, to close at 3141 on Wednesday. Turnover was $76 million.
Fletcher Building slid 18 cents to $8.22 per share, Telecom fell 6c to $2.52, and Contact Energy was down 1c at $5.89.
Sky Entertainment Group fell 2c to $3.22, while Air New Zealand gained 3c cents to $1.29.
NZX was up 18c to $8.18 after buying Clear Grain Exchange for $A6.4 million on Tuesday.
New Zealand Oil and Gas rose 3c to $1.73 and Pike River Coal gained 7c to $1.13.
Taylor's Group was unchanged at $2.18 after Spotless extended its takeover offer by two weeks.
