The New Zealand and Australian stock markets were down on Wednesday, following falls on overseas markets.
The benchmark NZX 50 index fell 10 points, or 0.3%, to close at 3127 on market turnover of $66 million.
Fletcher Building rose 1 cent to $7.70, Telecom fell 1 cent to $2.36, while Contact Energy was up 7 cents to $5.83.
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was down 3 cents to $3.39 and Sky City Entertainment was down 6 cents at $3.28, while Sky Network Television was down 4 cents to $4.70.
NZX was up 7 cents to $8.60, Pumpkin Patch was up 3 cents to $1.98 and The Warehouse was down 3 cents at $4.12.
At 5.15pm, the New Zealand dollar was trading at 70.82 US cents, 78.15 Australian cents, 43.57 pence, 62.63 yen and 0.4811 euro. The TWI stood at 63.65.
