NZ dollar slipping

10:23 pm on 25 January 2010

The New Zealand dollar slipped below 71 US cents to a four-week low on Monday morning, on concerns about new banking regulations in the United States.

Westpac currency strategist Imre Speizer expects the dollar to fall further in the short-term.

He says the next critical level is 70 US cents and then 66 US cents after that.
