Listed takeaway chain Burger Fuel has opened its first outlet in Saudi Arabia.

A 200-seat restaurant that opened in Damman this week will sell beef patties and kumara chips imported from New Zealand.

An Arab company, Abdullah Fouad, bought the rights to open the restaurant there.

Burger Fuel International says Adullah Fouad is keen to roll out more stores in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

Chief executive Chris Mason says Burger Fuel's first outlet in Dubai is due to open in April.
