The New Zealand sharemarket's benchmark index rose 15 points, or 0.5%, to close at 3214 on Thursday on turnover of $75 million.
Fletcher Building up 2 cents to $8.12 per share, Telecom gained 5c to $2.26 and Contact Energy fell 4c to $6.11.
Sky City Entertainment Group rose 5c to $3.26, Sky Network Television was down 3c to $5.12 and Air New Zealand was 2c higher at $1.32.
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was down 4c to $3.34, while retailer The Warehouse gained 4c to $3.95.
Allied Farmers has risen by 0.2c, or 2.5%, to 8.1c.
Restaurant Brands was up 16c to $1.98 after upgrading its profit to about $19.5 million.
