Telecom to lose chief financial officer

6:25 pm on 19 May 2010

Telecom is to lose another senior executive. Chief financial officer Russ Houlden has resigned to become the finance chief of an unnamed firm listed on the main stock exchange in Britain.

Earlier this year chief technology officer Frank Mount resigned after repeated failures of the XT mobile phone network.

The company will also lose the head of its wholesale arm, Matt Crockett, at the end of June.

Telecom's share price has sagged because of the XT network woes, weakening earnings due to intense competition and questions over its involvement in the Government's ultra-fast broadband plans.

However, the share price remain unchanged at $2.07 on Tuesday.
