Skellerup Holdings' profit has tripled to $9.8 million in the six months to December.
The increase is being put down to a stronger performance from its industrial division and keeping a lid on costs.
The company says the global economy is recovering, which should benefit its Agri and Industrial arms.
Looking ahead, Skellerup expects a full year profit of $18.5 million to $19 million.
