The number of jobs held by wage and salary earners remained flat in October after a strong rise in August.
Statistics New Zealand's national employment indicator shows that the number of filled jobs in October was down 0.2% compared with September.
Annually, the number of jobs filled was up nearly 1% compared with October 2010.
