A red-stickered building in Christchurch has been significantly damaged by a fire.
The Fire Service says crews were called to the blaze at the Mill Theatre on Walsall Street, near Hagley Park, on Friday night.
They say the building was fragile and it took crews using five fire engines two hours to put out the fire.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
Red-stickered buildings have been deemed uninhabitable due to earthquake damage.
