A meeting is being held in Christchurch by Councillor Glenn Livingstone on Wednesday to address the rental housing crisis.
He hopes it will focus on finding specific solutions for specific issues.
Among the topics which will be discussed will be availability of accommodation for people in the inner-city east, those sleeping in cars and families from the residential red and blue/green zones.
Community groups and government agencies have been invited to attend.
