Clean slate for Christchurch hailed

The head of a TV graphics company in Dunedin says the Christchurch earthquakes have left the city with a clean slate and an opportunity to do things no other city has tried.

Ian Taylor of Animation Research applauds the inclusion of an information technology hub in the blueprint for the central city, saying it's vital to attract talented people.

He says ultrafast broadband will make it even easier for businesses to operate out of Christchurch and take their products and ideas to the world.
